Hyundai Santro

The first-generation Hyundai Santro was showcased at the 1998 Auto Expo. Later, Hyundai introduced their second generation Santro which was launched on 23 October 2018 in India.

Engine and Transmission
The petrol engine in this automobile generates 68bhp and 99Nm of torque, while the CNG engine provides 59bhp and 85Nm of torque. The petrol engine may be paired with either a five-speed manual or an automatic transmission, however, the CNG models only have a five-speed manual transmission.

External design
Hyundai's iconic huge cascading grille is featured on the Santro. It also has halogen headlights with integrated turn signals, as well as fog lamps beneath the headlamps. It has a rear window wiper and washer, as well as a rear defogger and a rear parking camera. For top-spec cars, 14-inch steel wheels are standard, while 13-inch steel wheels are standard on all other models. It's also available in six different paint colors.

Interior design
This hatchback's inside has a beige and black color scheme. There's a 6.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone navigation and connection, as well as smartphone mirroring. Audio, Bluetooth, and voice recognition controls are all available on a multifunction steering wheel.

Safety
The Santro comes standard with an anti-lock brake system, electronic brake-force distribution, and two front airbags. Hyundai has also included a fire extinguisher in the CNG models.

The Hyundai Santro competes with the Datsun GO, Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, and Celerio.
