Hyundai Xcent Prime

Hyundai India launched their Hyundai Xcent Prime facelift version back in 2017.

Engine and Transmission
The Xcent Prime continues to use the original 1.1-litre oil burner, whereas the Xcent facelift 2017 receives a new 1.2-litre Diesel engine. Both variants are powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 82 BHP. The 1.2-litre Diesel engine in the Xcent facelift produces 74 BHP and 190 Nm. The 1.1-litre engine in the Xcent Prime, on the other hand, produces 71 BHP and 160 Nm. Both the Diesel and Petrol versions of the Xcent Prime come with a 5-speed manual transmission. While the Petrol model can get up to 15 kilometers per gallon, the Diesel variant can achieve up to 20 kilometers per gallon.

Exterior design
When you compare the Prime to the facelift, you'll notice a significant difference. While the 2017 Xcent receives a new snout, the Xcent retains its pre-facelift appearance. As a result, the new Xcent Prime lacks the new 'cascading-effect' grille and rear-end design. The Xcent Prime also lacks LED DRLs, which are seen on the facelift's top variants. The Hyundai Xcent Prime is equipped with 14-inch steel wheels and lacks chrome accents and body-colored door handles.

Interior design
Even on the interior, the Xcent Prime resembles the Xcent before the makeover. The Xcent Prime lacks even a basic audio system, whereas the new Xcent receives a touchscreen infotainment device. In addition, the Xcent makeover has a substantially broader feature list than the Xcent Prime. The previous upholstery is still included with the Xcent. It does, however, benefit the rear AC vents.

Rivals
Hyundai Aura, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, Ford Figo, and Maruti Suzuki Swift are among Hyundai Xcent's competitors.
