Kia Sonet

In September 2020, Kia introduced their third vehicle in India, the Sonet. The Korean automaker has revamped its baby SUV for 2021 with a new brand logo, two new versions, and new amenities for existing trims.

Engine and Transmission
Three engines and five transmissions will be offered for the Kia Sonet, including a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine with a five-speed manual transmission and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a six-speed iMT and a seven-speed DCT. The former can produce 81 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque, while the latter can produce 117 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. There will also be a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission and a six-speed torque converter. The manual version has 97 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque, while the automatic version has 112 horsepower and 250 pound-feet.

Exterior and Interior design
A tiger-nose grille, complete LED headlamps, projector fog lights, 16-inch dual-tone alloy rims, a rear diffuser, and LED tail lights are among the exterior highlights of the new Kia Sonet. The variant comes with a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, UVO connection, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, LED sound mood lighting, drive and traction modes, wireless charging with cooling function, and an air purifier on the inside.

Safety
Six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, VSM, hill-start assist, and braking assist are included in the Sonnet's safety features.

Rivals
The Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza are also competitors for the Sonet.
