Maruti Suzuki Ciaz

In 2014, Maruti Suzuki introduced the Ciaz mid-size car. In the year 2018, it received its first mid-life upgrade.

Engine ad specifications

The Ciaz is driven by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology that produces 103bhp at 6,000rpm and 138Nm at 4,400rpm under the hood. This engine is available with a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic torque converter.

Exterior Design

The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz now has a sleek grille with a chrome strip on top flanked by revised headlights. The circular fog lights and a fake brushed metal finish surround on the front bumper complement the projector headlight unit with horizontal LED DRLs. A reworked bumper and taillights with a new lighting signature give the rear area a new appearance. A new set of alloy wheels completes the overall design.

Interior design & features

The majority of the elements in the new model were carried over from the previous one. However, for added freshness, it now has a birch blonde wood veneer with satin chrome accents and a new 4.2 inch TFT Multi-Information Display (MID). Other standard equipment include keyless entry, cruise control, electrically adjustable ORVMs, a front center armrest with a utility box, and a rear center armrest with cup holders, as well as chrome garnish (steering wheel, inside door handles, AC louvers knob, and parking brake lever). Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, driver and passenger seat belt reminders, and a speed alert system are among the extra safety features included in the car.

Safety

Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and rear parking sensors are all standard safety equipment.

Rivals

The Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and Volkswagen Vento are all competitors in the compact sedan segment.
