Maruti Suzuki Eeco

In India, the Maruti Eeco debuted in 2010. The multifunctional van has been on the market for eleven years in India. During this time, Maruti Suzuki sold a remarkable 7 lakh Eecos. In January 2020, the Eeco was modified to meet BS6 standards. It comes in four different models, each with two different fuel options: petrol and CNG.

Engined and specifications

It comes with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine (73PS/98Nm) with a 5-speed manual transmission. The same engine generates 63PS/85Nm when equipped with a CNG kit. The petrol version has a fuel economy of 16.11 km/l, while the CNG version has a fuel efficiency of 20.88 km/kg.

Exterior, Interior design & features

The Eeco has a length of 3,675mm and a wheelbase of 2,350mm. Traditional halogen headlights and taillamps are used in the front and rear.

The van has a five/seven-seat configuration on the inside. The inside has a two-tone colour scheme. An air conditioning unit and an instrument cluster are located on the dashboard. Because the headrests are built into the seat, they are not adjustable.

Safety  

It comes equipped with a driver airbag, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake distribution, front seatbelt reminder, speed alert, and rear parking sensors.

Rivals

In India, there is no serious competition for the Eeco. The only car in a similar price range and with the same seating capacity is the Datsun GO+.
