Maruti Suzuki S-Presso

Maruti Suzuki S Presso was first launched in India in September of 2019.

Engine and Transmission

The Maruti hatchback is equipped with a 1-liter petrol engine (68PS/90Nm) with a 5-speed manual or an AMT transmission. Select 1-liter petrol models are also available with a CNG kit (output lowers to 59PS/78Nm) and a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel tank for this optional CNG engine is 55 liters (water equivalent).

Exterior design

The Maruti Suzuki S-Presso is 3,565mm long, 1,520mm wide, 1,564/1,549mm tall, and has a 2,380mm wheelbase. With its high, upright posture, adequate ground clearance, and dramatic appearance, the business touts its SUV-like traits. The squared headlamps and narrow grille with chrome accents appear to be influenced by Vitara Brezza's design. For an SUV-like attitude, the car also has a powerful dual-tone bumper. Rectangular taillights and a dual-tone bumper with integrated reflectors can be seen on the back part.

Interior design

The entire inside is finished in black, with orange accents on the dashboard and side AC vents. The seats include red pattern stitching and non-adjustable headrests in both the front and rear. With a centrally positioned instrument cluster, touchscreen system with Maruti Smart Play studio, dual front airbags, USB and 12-volt switch, and steering mounted controls, the equipment list is segment standard.

Safety

Driver side airbag, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, speed alert, and front seatbelt reminder are all standard safety features. While the top-spec model comes standard with a front passenger airbag and front seatbelt pretensioners, the lower models have these features as options.

Rivals

The Renault Kwid competes directly with the S-Presso. However, because of its low price, it competes with the Datsun redi-GO and GO, Maruti Wagon R, and Hyundai Santro.
