Maruti Suzuki Swift

Maruti brought the Maruti Swift to the Indian car market by May 2005. Till then, it was a flagship model in the lineup of Maruti and went through several cosmetic upgrades till date.

Specifications and Engine parts

The 1.2-liter DualJet petrol engine (90PS/113Nm), which was originally seen on the facelifted Dzire and boasts an idle start-stop capability for enhanced fuel consumption, has been added to the 2021 Swift. It has the same 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions as the previous generation. The fuel efficiency figures for both gearboxes are as follows:

• MT 1.2-liter 23.20kmpl
• The 1.2-liter AMT gets 23.76 km/l.

A fresh new engine, the K12 series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine with the idle start-stop feature, is Swift's talking point. Simply expressed, the same 1.2-liter engine will now yield a greater fuel economy of 23.20 km/l when partnered with a manual transmission and 23.76 km/l when paired with an automatic transmission.

Exterior design

The single-piece front grille now has a mesh design, and the 2021 Swift has a new chrome stripe on it. A dual-tone exterior shade is available with the top ZXi+ trim, among other features. Midnight Blue with Arctic White roof, Pearl Arctic White and Solid Fire Red with Pearl Midnight Black roof, and Midnight Blue with Arctic White roof are the three dual-tone possibilities. The current model's projector headlights, LED DRLs, 15-inch precision-cut alloy wheels, and floating roof effect will be carried over.

Interior design & Features

Silver scrollwork and a twin-pod instrument cluster with a colorful 4.2-inch TFT display adorn the interior of the cabin. Cruise control, idle start-stop function, and key synchronized auto-foldable ORVMs are now standard on the new Swift. Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, driver and co-driver seat belt reminders, and ISOFIX anchoring points are still available.

Safety

Speaking about safety, Electronic stability control (ESC) and hill hold control are standard on AMT-equipped Swifts. Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors have all been carried over from the pre-facelift version.

Rivals

The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Honda Jazz, Ford Figo, and Renault Triber are all competitors for the Maruti Suzuki Swift.
