The 2022 Karoq facelift compact SUV has been unveiled by Skoda Auto. The updated model features a more refined design language, new technologies, and more efficient EVO generation engines. This is the first time the compact SUV has received an update since its debut in 2017. This SUV is always remaining as the flagship variant of Skoda. It was the second most supplied Skoda vehicle worldwide in 2020 and the first six months of 2021, according to the company.
The redesigned Skoda Karoq equips a bigger hexagonal grille in the trademark Skoda style, giving it a more robust appearance. It also gets thinner full-LED Matrix headlights with updated DRLs that are now divided in half, enhancing the SUV's dynamic appearance even more. New 19-inch Silver Sagitarius alloy wheels are also available for the SUV.
The SUV gets complete LED taillights with dynamic indications, a redesigned rear bumper, an extended body-colored spoiler, and more at the back. Like other new Skoda automobiles, it keeps the centrally located Skoda lettering.
The new variant retains the four-light system used on Skoda crossovers, but the upper cluster's daytime running lights now sport a two-level design. The designs on the standard full-LED taillights have been altered to make them look thinner. With new air curtains, the front bumper was redesigned not just for aesthetic reasons, but also to improve aerodynamics. It's the same situation in the back, where the bumper has been changed to improve airflow.
Skoda claims that the improvements to the design have decreased drag by 9% to a Cd of 0.30, making it one of the most aerodynamic cars in its class. New 19-inch Silver Sagitarius alloy wheels are also available for the SUV. There's an Eco package available, as well as improved LED ambient lighting, new ornamental strips on the instrument panel and door trims, and other upgrades. The front passenger seat can now be electrically adjusted as well.
A base instrument cluster of 8 inches is available, with the option of upgrading to a larger 10.25-inch one. It also comes with an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system that can be upgraded to a 9.2-inch system, as well as Wireless SmartLink technology, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. Laura's digital voice assistant, which is available in 15 languages, is also included in the system.
