Unofficial reservations for the facelifted Kodiaq have begun at a few Skoda shops ahead of its January 2022 introduction. We now know that the luxury SUV will come in three different trim levels: Sportline, Style, and Laurin and Klement. The Scout trim, which was available in the pre-facelift SUV and included rough design elements, would not be available.
The Sportline will have sporty design accents (a la the Superb Sportline), while the Laurin and Klement should get all the bells and whistles, as the variant's name indicates. The Style is intended to be in the middle of the two, having all of the required qualities.
The facelifted SUV might gain new features including ventilated, heated, and massage front seats, an upgraded 12-speaker Canton sound system, and 10-color footwell LED ambient lighting, to name a few. A computerized driver's display, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, and cruise control will all be available.
Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system are all recommended for passenger safety.
The Kodiaq will be equipped with the VW Group's new 190PS 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which will drive all four wheels with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Prices are expected to begin at Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it in direct competition with the Volkswagen Tiguan and Toyota Fortuner petrol models.
