Hyundai has already launched their Verna car models and the Hyundai Verna is in its third-gen avatar in India. Their existing avatars have a stylish finish with a tech-laden cabin. Now, Hyundai brings another mid-size sedan to the Indian car market.
The new-gen Hyundai Verna was spotted while testing overseas. This all-new Verna will likely get a revamped exterior design and new interiors. When considering its design, it is expected to have a similar look to the Elantra. Also, the Verna seems to have the headlamp cluster lowered onto the bumper.
The test mule of Verna is wrapped completely and it is expected to reach the market with a larger and wider front grille like its previous models. The test model reveals the ORVMs and their shapes are just identical to Hyundai-like shapes. Wheels are pretty and plainly styled, this may be changed while unveiling the car variant. The roofline looks sloppy and the kinked chrome insert on the window lines matches the i20 hatchback.
On the roof, a shark-fin antenna is available and it looks like it has a sleek LED design. It may have a light bar in the middle connecting the two tail lamps. The car tail looks raked and it features like the rear might be bigger in the final model.
Speaking about the features, it is not the perfect time to expect as the information is too scarce. However, it is expected to have a booming sound system, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a wider touchscreen.
Under the hood, it is not expected to have any more changes. The 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol (with manual and CVT transmissions), 1.5-liter diesel (manual transmission and a torque converter), and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (7-speed dual-clutch) are said to be similar in Verna new avatar. The updated version will come with both manual and automatic gearbox options.
