Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition launched

After much waiting and speculation, Volkswagen has launched the first-anniversary edition of Taigun which has launched with 11 new features. It has been introduced in a price range of 15.40-16.89 lakh (ex-showroom India) in the Indian market. The German automaker revealed that the Taigun has received more than 40,000 bookings so far with 20,000 cars already being delivered. This enthusiastic response from the buyers has assured the company of the potential for record-breaking sales in the coming time.

Taigun has been Volkswagen's best-selling car since its launch because of the unique features that it offers. The Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, Mr. Ashish Gupta, “The Taigun has had an extremely fulfilling journey in India as well as reaching the global stage by being the Top 3 finalists at the World car of the year. We have been extremely overwhelmed with the feedback, appreciation, and acceptance the SUVW has received from our customers.” Booking is already open and delivery will start soon. It has introduced a new ‘Rising blue” color alongside its two already existing colors Curcuma Yellow and Wild cherry Red. These variants intend to appeal to buyers of all backgrounds through the variety of color choices. Volkswagen has also put up the badging of the “1st” anniversary on the exterior as well as interior and also black c-pillar graphics on the left back and right back side of the car that makes it different from a regular Taigun. These unique features have invited an overwhelming response altogether.

What’s Under the hood?

Under the hood, it remains the same. As an additional facility, the buyers will get to choose from two petrol engines which are 1.0 TSI, three-cylinder with 114hp/178Nm or they can also choose a more powerful variant which is 148bhp/250Nm 1.5-litre TSI with a four-cylinder motor. The engine also offers 2 gearbox options which include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic, which gives you a mileage of 19.20kpl and 17.23kpl for the manual and automatic respectively.

The Taigun first anniversary edition has added 11 new features which include high lux fog lamps, black c-pillar graphics, body-colored door-garnish, black roof foil, door edge protector, aluminum pedals, window visors with black ORVM caps, with some important features like Electronic stability control (ESC), 6 airbags, Anti-lock braking system (ABS), 3-point rear seat belts, tire pressure deflation warning system and a reverse camera.

These distinguising features of Volkswagen’s new launch have excited the buyers to extents that they have been visiting showrooms to look and have test drives to have the exquisite experience that it offers.
